How we think about treatment

Looking at the whole system, not just the symptom.

Conventional care is excellent at certain things. Where it tends to stop short is in connecting patterns across systems, and that gap is where TCM does its strongest work.

Read posture, breath, jaw tension, sleep and stress load. Treat the muscle, regulate the system holding it tight.

Look at digestion, hormones, anxiety, and the nervous system's wind-down pattern. Treat the cause, not just the night.
Menstrual or hormonal disruption
Watch and wait, or jump to hormonal medication.
Map the cycle, the stress load, the sleep, the digestion. Support the body's own hormonal feedback before overriding it.
Digestive trouble
Cut the food. Try another diet. Repeat.
Treat the gut along with the vagus nerve, the stress response, and what's been happening to sleep and energy.
Skin: lines, dullness, laxity
Topical products, injectables, repeat purchase.

Billing & coverage

Straightforward, with direct billing wherever we can.

Direct insurance billing

We direct-bill for all acupuncture treatments, including cosmetic acupuncture, with most major insurers: Green Shield, Blue Cross, and everything through the Telus Health network. Bring your card and we'll confirm coverage at your visit.

HSA eligible

If you have a Health Spending Account, it can generally be used for any acupuncture treatment. Ask us if you're not sure how your specific plan applies.

Cancellations

We ask for 24 hours notice on cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a $50 fee, since that time could have gone to someone else.
