Traditional Chinese Medicine
One of the oldest and most studied forms of medicine in the world, for good reason. Thin, sterile needles placed gently at specific points along the body reduce inflammation, regulate the nervous system, and support your body's own healing process.
How it works
Acupuncture works by placing thin, sterile filiform needles gently in specific points along the body. By stimulating these precise areas, acupuncture works to reduce inflammation, regulate the nervous system, support the body's own healing processes and restore the smooth flow of energy throughout the body.
It's one of the oldest and most studied forms of medicine in the world. Every treatment plan is built from your intake, not a template, so the points used and the pace of your course are shaped around what you're actually working with.
What it helps with
What to expect
Your first visit includes a full intake conversation, covering your health history, current concerns and goals, before we move into treatment.
Treatment time is typically 60 minutes, with needles retained for 20 to 30 minutes while you rest and let your system respond.
Many people notice shifts after just a few sessions, though the number of treatments varies by condition and by your individual treatment plan.
Acupuncture questions
Most people are surprised by how subtle it is. The needles we use are roughly the width of a strand of hair, far finer than a hypodermic needle. Some points produce a brief dull ache or warmth that fades within seconds.
It depends on what you're working with and how long it's been there. Acute issues often respond in two to four visits, chronic patterns usually need a longer course. We build a realistic plan after your first session and adjust it as your body responds.
